The base price is charged once per order – regardless of the number of lines. Each line of text is also charged according to its font size. Blank lines are free. The total price including engraving is always shown live in the configurator.
Frequently Asked Questions About Clipboard Engraving
Which material is best suited for engraving?
HDF offers the most even engraving quality thanks to its homogeneous surface without natural wood grain. Birch plywood creates a more organic, warmer look with visible grain. PLEXIGLAS® offers the strongest visual contrast – especially striking with transparent and dark colours.
Can I have umlauts and special characters engraved?
Yes – all German umlauts (Ä, Ö, Ü, ä, ö, ü, ß) as well as common special characters and punctuation are fully supported. The € symbol can also be engraved.
What does the engraving look like after years of use?
The engraving is permanent and worked deep into the material – it does not fade and cannot be rubbed off. For wooden clipboards, occasional treatment with linseed oil can make the engraving stand out especially well.
Can I save a configuration with engraving for reorders?
Yes – the order confirmation includes a reorder link that restores the exact configuration including engraving text and font. Handy for businesses with recurring orders that always need the same engraving.
Does the right of withdrawal also apply to engraved clipboards?
Since engraved clipboards are made individually for you, there is no statutory right of withdrawal under § 312g para. 2 no. 1 BGB (German Civil Code). Please check your engraving text carefully in the configurator before ordering.
What happens if there is a typo in my engraving?
We engrave exactly the text shown in your live preview – so please double-check spelling, names and dates before ordering. If you spot a mistake right after ordering, contact us as quickly as possible by phone or e-mail: as long as your engraving has not been made yet, we will change the text free of charge. And should an engraving ever differ from your order, the statutory warranty of course applies – we will rework or remake your clipboard. Your satisfaction matters to us: just get in touch and we will find a solution.
