Each step builds on the last – the live preview shows your clipboard in real time.
Choose a Shape
The first step: your clipboard's basic shape. Choose from 5 different shapes – from the classic standard shape to the decorative wood-board shape.
The preview on the right immediately shows what your chosen shape looks like. Just click a tile – the shape can be changed at any time.
Choose a Size
Choose the right DIN format for your use case. The preview scales automatically – so you immediately see what the clipboard looks like at the chosen size.
Set the Orientation
Portrait or landscape? For most use cases, portrait is standard. Landscape suits wide forms or a horizontal layout, for example.
The clip always stays at the top – even in landscape. The preview shows the board in the chosen orientation, including a live rotation of the wood grain.
Choose a Material
The material determines look, feel and price. You choose between three materials:
With birch plywood you can also choose the grain direction: vertical, horizontal or variable (we optimize the cut).
Choose a Color
For birch plywood: click one of the 37 color swatches in the color grid. The preview immediately switches to the chosen stain color. Use the filter buttons (wood tones, green, blue …) to narrow down the color choice.
For Plexiglas®: 17 colors from clear to neon orange. Transparent colors are shown with a checkerboard pattern.
Choose a Clip
First choose the clip type, then the clip color. All clips are made of sturdy metal and available in 8 colors.
Clip colors: Silver · Gold · Rose · Copper · Antique · Rainbow · Silver Carbon · Black. Silver Carbon is only available for the 120 mm wire clip.
Add Eyelets (optional)
Eyelets are small metal rings you can attach at various positions – for hanging, mounting or as a decorative element. Price: €0.08 per eyelet.
You choose the position on a 3×3 grid: top left, top right, middle left, middle right, bottom left, bottom center, bottom right. Eyelets are not available for Plexiglas®. For the wood-board shape, only top left and top right are available.
Design an Engraving (optional)
Select „With Engraving“ to open the engraving editor. You can engrave text and logos on the front (clip side) and the back – both sides can be designed independently of each other.
For each line of text you can set: font, font size, bold/italic/underline, horizontal and vertical alignment, curvature, rotation, letter spacing and free positioning via drag & drop. Up to 10 lines are possible.
Logo Engraving: Use the „+ Logo Engraving“ button to upload your own graphic – as SVG, PNG, JPG, WebP or PDF (max. 3 MB). The logo appears in the preview in real time and is lasered together with the text. You can set logo height, brightness (threshold) and whether light or dark areas are engraved (invert) directly.
The engraving price is calculated from a base price (€1.00) plus a surcharge per centimeter of text height. The total engraving cost is always shown in the summary.
Quantity & Add to Cart
Enter the quantity you want. Volume discounts kick in automatically at certain thresholds:

Engraving Toolbar: Every Button Explained
The toolbar appears as soon as you activate „With Engraving.“ The buttons above belong to each individual line of text; the ribbon buttons below control alignment, size and style.
Buttons on Each Line of Text
Bold
Activates bold text for this line. Each line has its own B button.
Italic
Activates italic text for this line. Can be combined with bold.
Underline
Draws an underline beneath the text. Cannot be used together with curvature or vertical text.
Vertical Text
Letters stacked top to bottom. Automatically disables underline and curvature.
Font
Per-line dropdown – opens 45 fonts in 5 groups. Each line can have its own font.
Remove Line
Deletes this line. Only appears when more than one line exists.
Below the Lines
Add a Line
+ Line adds a new input line (max. 10). Pressing Enter in the text field also adds a text line. + Logo Engraving opens the file dialog for your own logos and graphics (SVG, PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF – max. 3 MB).
Toolbar (Ribbon)
Horizontal Alignment
Left · Center · Right. Applies to all lines or just the active one (green = active).
Vertical Alignment
Top · Middle · Bottom. Shifts the entire text block vertically on the board.
Move
4 arrow buttons move the text block or the active line step by step. Hold down for fast movement.
Line Height
Font size in mm – starting at 6 mm. The maximum adjusts automatically based on board size and safety margins. Hold down to change the value quickly.
Logo Engraving Controls
Appear only when a logo-engraving line is selected. Invert (contrast icon) swaps light and dark areas – useful for logos on a dark background. Threshold (1–254, adjustable via − / +) sets the brightness level at which a pixel is engraved – ideal for photos or logos with gradients.
Line Spacing
Factor between lines (1.0 = tight to 3.0 = wide). Only affects multiple lines.
Letter Spacing
Space between letters. Negative = tighter, positive = wider (letter-spaced typesetting).
Rotation
Rotates the active line in 5° increments. Left = counterclockwise, right = clockwise.
Curvature
∩ curves the text upward, ∪ downward. Cannot be used together with underline.
Side
Switches between front (with clip) and back. Both sides can be designed independently of each other.
Actions
- All Lines – actions apply to all lines at once (button switches to „Single Line“).
- Save – save the configuration to the wishlist.
- Undo / Redo – up to 30 steps.
- Zoom – opens the enlarged editing view.
- Download SVG – downloads the engraving template as a vector SVG.
- Help ? – explains every button directly in the configurator.
Cart & Checkout
In the cart you see all configured clipboards with quantity, unit price and active volume discount. You can change the quantity directly in the cart – the discount updates automatically.
Multiple Configurations: Configure one clipboard, add it to the cart, then configure the next one right away – all items land together in the cart.
Editing: Use the pencil button in the cart to open and adjust a configuration at any time.
Payment: By PayPal, credit card or bank transfer (prepayment). Delivery by DHL parcel – within Germany in 3–5 business days after payment is received, climate-neutral on request with DHL GoGreen Plus (+€0.20).
Frequently Asked Questions About the Configurator
Can I save my configuration and continue later?
Yes – use the wishlist (bookmark icon in the cart or in the engraving toolbar). Your configuration is saved in your browser. You can load it again anytime with a click. Alternatively: the „Share“ button creates a link containing your entire configuration.
What does „Variable“ mean for the wood grain?
With „Variable,“ we optimize the grain direction for your cut – this saves material and is therefore the most eco-friendly choice. If you need a specific direction, choose vertical or horizontal.
Can I combine several different clipboards in one order?
Yes. Configure each clipboard individually and add it to the cart. All items are delivered in one order and one package. Volume discounts are calculated on the total quantity per item.
How large can the engraving text be at most?
The font size per line can be up to 90 mm. How much text fits on the board depends on the board size, the font and the font size – the preview always shows you the actual fit in real time.
I accidentally moved a line – how do I undo that?
Click the undo button in the engraving toolbar (or press Ctrl+Z). Up to 30 undo steps are available.
Which file formats are accepted for logo engraving?
SVG, PNG, JPG, WebP and PDF (max. 3 MB). SVG delivers the sharpest engraving since vectors scale without loss. For photos or logos without an SVG export, PNG or JPG work well. For PDF, the first page is engraved automatically. Colored images are automatically converted to black and white before engraving – the threshold slider lets you decide how much detail gets engraved.
Can I still change the configuration after ordering?
Since every clipboard is made to order individually, a change after the order is placed is unfortunately no longer possible. Please check your configuration carefully in the preview before you order.
